Scholarships, Medals and Prizes |

In recognition of outstanding students, UVic awards more than 3 million dollars in Entrance and In-Course Scholarships each year. Scholarships are non-repayable and are awarded to students on the basis of academic merit or excellence.
Undergraduate Awards: Definitions and General Requirements |
| GPA Scholarships |
Offered in recognition of outstanding academic standing. Awarded funds will be put towards a student's tuition.

| Departmental Scholarships |
No application is necessary. The faculty/department recommends the recipient for the award. See List of Scholarships
|
| Student Application Scholarships |
Requires the submission of an on-line scholarship application. Marks and other criteria such as community work, extra-curricular activities, field of study, and volunteerism may be considered.

Bursary |
Offered on the basis of demonstrated financial need. Students need to be receiving maximum student loans and registered in a minimum of 4.5 units each term.

| Prizes |
Offered in recognition of a student's accomplishment. Prizes may come in monetary value, books, membership fees, and such
