Apply for Bursaries

The UVic Summer Bursary Application is available May 1st to June 1st, 2012

 

To be considered for a UVic Bursary all students must complete the Online Application.

Be sure to select the application that applies to you depending on whether you are an undergraduate student, a graduate student or an international graduate student.

Undergraduate students must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
  • Be receiving the maximum full time government student loans available to them
  • Be a full time student registered in a minimum of 4.5 credit units per term, (3.0 credit units for students with a permanent disability)

 

Graduate students must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
  • Be receiving the maximum full time government student loans available to them
  • Meet the definition of full time status as determined by the Faculty of Graduate Studies

 

International Graduate students must:

  • Meet the definition of full time status as defined by the Faculty of Graduate Studies
  • Submit a completed budget sheet to the Student Awards and Financial Aid office (budget page is available on the online application).

 

International undergraduate students should visit the International Student Resource page for information about resources available to them.

How to Access the Online Bursary Application

 

  1. Log onto your UVic MyPage account at www.uvic.ca
  2. Click on “Student Services” on the left side menu
  3. Select “View and apply for awards”
  4. Select “Apply for awards (scholarships and bursaries)
  5. For year, select 2011/2012.
  6. Select Summer
  7. Click Continue and be sure to select the General Bursary
  8. Continue to follow the prompts to apply for the bursaries you are eligible for
  9. Be sure to read all instructions as you complete the application and hit the SUBMIT button as your last step to ensure your application is submitted

 

REMINDER - Canadian undergraduate and graduate students must submit a copy of your Notice of Assessment and budget sheet if applicable to the Student Awards and Financial Aid office by June 1, 2012.

Be sure to write your student number on your Government Student Loan Notification of Assessment.

For International Graduate Students you must print, complete and submit the budget page available on the online application to the Student Awards and Financial Aid Office by June 1, 2012 - Be sure to include your student number.

Only successful applicants will be contacted. Successful applicants will be notified by email to their UVic email address, by mid-July.

ONLY COMPLETE ONLINE APPLICATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED.

IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SUBMITTED A PAPER APPLICATION PLEASE RESUBMIT ONLINE.
